The initial concept of Manga Party is based on the will to celebrate all the facets of J-Pop Culture in a festive spirit without consideration of membership to such or such community. It is result of the report that shows that the majority of the existing gatherings mostly put the accent on selling booths rather than of animation and Live shows.
The first Manga Party Awards celebrated, on April 30th 2009, at the Olympia of Paris, the best of Manga Culture. This evening event, which gathered more than 1600 people, proposed Live concerts of J-Music, Cosplay parade by team or individually, Karaoke on giant screens and several projections of exclusif trailers.
Articulated around 12 Awards in the field of Manga, Animes, Video Games and J-Music, the event paid homage to best editors and producers.
At the end of this first edition, the goal is to transpose the concept of Manga Party to a format more adapted to variety of public that such an event generates.
The various sestions of Manga Party Festival will make it possible for the public to discover all the facets of the J-Pop Culture according to their rate and desires.
